Reflection

  1. What did I learn in the course?

I learned what CLIL and CRLL stands for since I did not know the meaning of these concepts before I started this course. I learned how important and how difficult it appears to be to integrate content and language learning but I also learnt how interesting and enriching it could be.

2. How has the course impacted my future teaching and ideas? How has it contributed to my development as a teacher? It has made a great impact since it has provided me with a new approach of language learning and teaching in general. I am now aware of the umbrella of possibilities that teaching offers. It is not only about learning a language but it could also be about combining it with learning contents which seems to be highly interesting although challenging at the same time both for students and teachers.

3. What have I learnt with the project and how has it made me rethink/reshape my role as a language teacher? The first thing I learned with the project was to think together and come to an agreement about the main topic we wanted to deal with. After that, I realised how hard it could be to make a group of people do what you have planned and at the same time make them feel motivated and engaged with the activity. It made me think about how hard the role of a language teacher can be and that it involves a lot of hard work, experience, effort and time in order to succeed.

4. How have I participated in the course project? I participated thinking and choosing the topic, working on creating the contents and planning the activity, editing and proofreading, recording, analising the results.
