1. What did I learn in the course?

Concerning our course in general (Content-based approaches) I would like to say that it has given me great ideas about what can be done in a CLIL or CRLL classroom. Furthermore, I have been able to practice it myself; that is to say, I have prepared a CLIL/CRLL classroom and I have had the opportunity to check if it works or not with real students.

2. How has the course impacted my future teaching and ideas? How has it contributed to my development as a teacher?

Thanks to this, I can now affirm that my development as a teacher has changed a little bit. I knew that teachers were supposed to work cooperatively, but I did not know that in a CLIL/CRLL context, the content and the language teacher had to plan and work a lot together. If they do so, there is no doubt that students will directly benefit from it. Cooperation is one of the most important aspects in this discipline!

3. What have I learnt with the project and how has it made me rethink/reshape my role as a language teacher?

With the project, I have learnt that it is very important to give visual aids to the students. It is true that talking slowly or using non-verbal language such as gestures is very useful, but giving visual supports to the students is essential and it truly simplifies their understanding. Thanks to this, from now on I will try to use more visual materials with my students. For example: pictures, cards, power points, etc.

4. How have I participated in the course project?

All the members of my team have participated a lot in this project. The truth of the matter is that we spent a whole afternoon together and we finished it with a clear working plan and division of tasks. We created the materials the same day and, after that, each of us was in charge of some stuff for the day of shooting. In my case, I printed the Nature Morte that we used as an example, I phoned some friends to come and attend our class, and I also prepared my house and some objects for the recording. Furthermore, I created a shared document through which we worked together to explain what our project was about (if you want, you can check the result in here). Last but not least, I also uploaded our photos in this collaborative Wix.
