What did I learn in the course?
After doing this CLIL course, I have realised about the importance of real CLIL sessions: it can make a big difference if you are not just trying to sell “the cool brand” and try to implement it correctly.

How has the course impacted my future teaching and ideas? How has it contributed to my development as a teacher?
CLIL can have an impact and improve our students’ skills; they can even become more conscious about their learning process and the importance of developing essential competences. In order for real and successful CLIL to happen, we, as teachers, have to be prepared for it and willing to constantly improve. In my case, this course has been useful to discover all its benefits and to decide that I am going to have a more open mind towards it: let’s stop thinking that kids won’t understand us!
-
What have I learnt with the project and how has it made me rethink/reshape my role as a language teacher?
With our project I have learnt that teaching a language that your students don’t know may seem frustrating and impossible, but with the correct methodology everything is possible!
-
How have I participated in the course project?
While designing the project, we have worked collaboratively, contributing with our ideas to design the activity and the materials we used for the presentation. Even though I don’t speak any French at all, I also memorised some sentences to support Tània’s presentation! It has been fun!
