Hello, everyone! I want to share my opinion on integrated content and language learning with you. At the beginning of the Master's degree, I was not a CLIL supporter and I questioned its effectiveness. Why? Because I am an advocate of the Catalan language and I thought that teaching mathematics or social science in another language, such as French, English or German, could reduce the power of the Catalan language inside and outside the schools. However, after having had some sessions on CLIL with Oriol Pallarès, I have demolished my prejudices and I have changed my point of view. In fact, the use of CLIL in schools does not endanger the use of the mother tongue. Finally, I want to say that I have enjoyed having to prepare the CLIL/CRLL activity; I think it is a good and different way of putting into practice what we have learned in class.

My group designed the Nature Morte project, a lesson in which students learned art, but also French. It was amazing to see how pupils who had an A1 level of French could follow the class without any problem! How did we organize ourselves? One day we met to decide the topic and objectives of the task, then we created the materials we needed and we distributed the work (to call our friends, to buy fruits, to print out a photo, etc).

Now, click on our project, see the result and enjoy!
