I think that one of the most important goals of this master degree ─if not, the most important one─ is to find out the kind of teacher everyone of us wants to be. Sincerely, during the first term I felt a little bit out of place thinking every now and then “I wouldn't feel totally comfortable teaching this kind of activities” or “I want to talk about Mars, Hinduism, or Beethoven”. Discovering that there is a theoretical background and even a tradition of this way of language learning was for me a relief and a source of motivation. As long as I can, I will do Content Rich Language Learning sessions and didactic sequences, and I will encourage my principal and head of studies to implement CLIL subjects in my future schools. However, my point is that, it is not only the approach I will feel more comfortable with, but the most effective way for students of a foreign language to learn it.

Nevertheless, during our final project Muffins R us, we could realize that teaching content in a foreign language is far easier than enabling our students to produce. So, although we designed our lesson in advance, we should have focused more ─and I will do so in the future─ on fostering the production of language of our pupils.

Lot to learn!
